On tonight’s episode of Once Upon a Time, there was a big reveal of the identity of Baelfire. From this revelation, Emma, Henry, and Gold try to sort out what this could mean for their lives and future. Back in Storybrooke, another part of Cora’s ever evolving plan is revealed. This plan may bring the demise of the Charming family. In Fairytale Land, the history of Rumpelstiltskin’s cowardliness is foretold.

In Fairytale Land:
Mila and Rumpelstiltskin are happily married. Rumple delivers the news that he has been drafted to the war. He is excited but she shows concern about his safety. He informs her this is finally his chance to escape his father’s reputation of cowardliness.
During the war he meets a Seer that tells him he will have a son. She also tells him his actions on the battlefield tomorrow will result in him leaving his son fatherless. She gives him some clues that will prove she’s telling the truth. He does not believe her until the next day and her foreshadowing comes true.
He decides to injure himself so he can go home to his son and wife. Mila is not pleased to see and has heard of his cowardliness. She scorns him about leaving his son with the scare of having a coward for a father.
Further in the future, Rumple encounters the Seer again. He wants her to help him find his son. She gives him vague hints and says he must take her powers to know his future. He immediately does this but cannot make sense of any of it. She offers him one final clue. She says a boy will lead him to his son, but the boy will bring him down. Rumple not effected ,as the Seer dies, simply says he must kill the boy.
In Storybrooke:
Regina tells Cora about Emma and Henry leaving with Mr. Gold. Hook overhears this and says they must go stop a powerless Gold. Cora tells him they are better off staying here and finding the dagger to kill him. Regina visits Belle, who still has no memory, to search for clues about the dagger. She uses magic to get a clue that leads to the library.
In the library, the find a map and Hook says he knows where it leads. Cora knocks him out and her and Regina go searching for the dagger. Cora says once they have the dagger they can control the dark one and have him kill the Charmings. That way Regina will be Henry’s only family and Rumple will be blamed for it all.
When Regina uses magic on Belle, the stranger saw everything and filmed it. He is going to stay longer to investigate.
In Manhattan:
Henry, Emma, and Mr. Gold arrive at the apartment Baelfire lives. They ring his apartment number but he escapes and Emma must chase after him. She manages to tackle him and she recognizes him as Neal. She freaks out and wants to know if it was all planned. He is confused about what she is talking about until she says she has brought his dad. He tells her they must talk alone. He then explains he did not know who she was until August came and showed him a box that said “I know you’re Baelfire.”
Neal asks Emma to pretend she lost him so he does not have to see Gold. Emma calls her mom and tells her what happened. Then she lies to Gold about losing him.
When Mary Margaret tells David about Baelfire being Henry’s dad, he’s just as confused as viewers about the family tree. Then he makes a joke about Thanksgiving being complicated for them.
Gold does not care if Baelfire does not want to see him so he forces his way into Neal’s apartment and plans to wait for him. Once in the apartment, Emma finds the dream catcher. Gold is curious why she is so interested in it and knows something is going on. He starts yelling at her then Neal bursts in and Gold realizes they know each other. He later figures out and so does Baelfire that Henry is his son.
Henry is mad his mom lied to him. Baelfire gives Rumple some time to tell his side, but Bae sees Gold has not changed and does not want to have him in his life. Later Henry tells Emma he wants to meet his dad and they start bonding.
So was anyone really shocked Baelfire and Neal are the same person on Once Upon a Time?
